How to connect to FTP on MacOs

Open the “Finder Menu”.
Click on “Go”.
Select “Connect to Server”.
Fill out the name and password you were given for the server you’re trying to access.

FTP not connecting I have 5 different programs; Rapidweaver, Sighthound, FileZilla, ForkLift and Reolink that all have FTP capabilities. Two of the five *(Sighthound and Reolink) respond with the 503 error (incorrect user/pw) when testing my FTP setup. This is despite using the exact configuration on each. The only thing I can imagine is that Mac OS (13.4) is blocking or changing something with the two that won't work. I'm hoping there is a smaht (I'm from Massachusetts) person out there to offer suggestions. Thanks, Traj

How do I find the address of a file server for data transfer on Mac? To transfer information to my new MacBook Pro from my old MacBook Air, I need to enter the address of a file server. I don't know what that is or where to find it. [Re-Titled by Moderator]
