Prompt on to “sign in” for iMessages on iPad while viewing Pottery Barn website

While perusing the Pottery Barn website I keep getting prompted to sign in to my iMessages (an app I intentionally do not have/want on my iPad) I’ve tried turning my iPad off- this doesn’t help. So far it’s only on PB website.

Anyone else having a similar issue ?

Is the pop up occurring as you’re trying to sign in to your Potery Barn account on their website? Could you have signed up for two-factor authentication on that website?

I’ve been having the same issue on my iPad. Every time I go to the Pottery Barn website, it immediately opens up Messages with an empty new message to Pottery Barn.
