Siri seems to priortize Homekit over Shortcuts

I have a ziptrak/blinds not supported by Homekit so got Broadlink IR/RF blaster and created a siri shortcut to control the ziptrak/blinds up and down with a voice command. Whenever I give a voice command to Siri through my homepod, it says it can’t find it in my Home. Does Siri defaults voice commands to Homekit instead of Shortcuts?

If Siri is prioritizing HomeKit over Shortcuts when you give voice commands to control your Ziptrak blinds, try adding the Shortcut to your Home app, restarting your HomePod, or updating to the latest software version. If the problem persists, contact Apple Support for further assistance.
