Brit Box on Apple TV not working

Brit Box now shows a login screen but does not allow input. We do not have a Brit Box account because we subscribe AND pay for it through Apple TV account. Have spent hours trying to figure this out HELP!

  • If you signed up for BritBox in the BritBox app on an Apple device, then you would have this subscription on your Apple ID account. This subscription is valid only in the BritBox app on Apple devices. To let the BritBox app on other Apple devices know about this subscription, use the ‘Restore Purchases’ option. Also if you deleted and reinstalled the BritBox app on the same device as where you signed up, then use the ‘Restore Purchases’ option.
  • If your signed up for BritBox in the Apple TV app (in-app BritBox channel), then you would also have this subscription on your Apple ID account. But this subscription is valid only in the Apple TV app, not the separate BritBox app. No need to sign in separately for the Apple TV app in-app channels.

These types of subscriptions have different terms and conditions, different perks and limitations, and they wouldn’t be exchangeable.

I have subscription for BritBox through AppleTV as well as Acorn. Neither works suddenly and ask for email and passwords which I don’t have because AppleTV is handling the sign on. I’m paying for both but not able to watch. What to do??

See the first reply above. If you signed up in the content provider app on an Apple device, then you need to keep using the content provider app on an Apple device. Use Restore Purchases if needed. If you signed up in the Apple TV app for the in-app channel of the same name, then keep using the Apple TV app, instead of the content provider app.
