Merge local files and sync library songs

Hello! I recently moved my local files to a secondary drive, and I deleted the original files and put the files from the secondary drive in my Apple Music app on PC. But now there's two duplicates of my songs on the app; the Sync Library version and the lossless file on my PC. Is there any way to fix this?

apple music with music on hard drive, how synchronize? Hello, since years and years I have all my music on a external hard drive and I use Apple Music. I always change te settings of the files in Music to the hard drive and than Apple Music synchronizes correctly. I thought this make Apple search in their own library and the library is paralleled with my own files. But if I disconnect the external drive, my Mac does not find my music files anymore, while in iPhone it still works. Also I see that my music on the external drive is not 'lossless'. So I am actually wondering how the synchronization works and if there is a difference if I play the album from my own library (based on the synchronized files on the external drive) or directly from the Apple Music libary. Transfer music playlist from iPhone XR (ver 13.6) to iMac (Catalina 10.15.5) I have extensive playlists on my iPhone I wish to add to "Music" playlists on my new iMac. One support thread on this site I read expressly says I can do this if I subscribe to "Apple Music". I do. The playlist songs on my iPhone are mostly purchased from Apple, but not all. When I follow the instructions - essentially doing "Sync Library" on both iPhone and iMac, there is a warning that a sync will occur across all devices. I note the Apple support web site advises in relation to this procedure: "WARNING: If you choose to replace the music library on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, the music files on the device are deleted. The original files are kept on the Mac you previously synced them from, and iTunes Store purchases are always available to download again." Is this warning relevant to what I'm trying to do? I do not want to replace my iPhone library. I want only to merge it, including songs ripped from my old CD collection, with my new iMac library to form one combined library. Can anyone advise me please - is it safe to proceed with syncing.

Apple Music and my own Music library Hello, apologies if this has already been explained but I could not find the exact answer I was looking for. I have a 72,000 song library mostly ripped from vinyl and CDs I own. I would like to try Apple Music but am worried it will affect two things; 1) my own music files as I use them to DJ with on a system called Serato 2) syncing my music to my iPhone and iPad I have been told if I do sign up to Apple Music I could use iTunes Match and that should preserve my own files must I am not sure how that will affect syncing to my devices. Does anyone have any advice for doing this?
