Issue with iPad camera barcode reader in Shopify

We are using Shopify on our ipad and use the built in barcode reader via the iPad camera (not a handheld scanner). As of April 7th 2024, we noticed the camera no longer reads our bar codes. We contacted Shopify customer support and they indicated that the issue is wide spread among their customers who use the built in barcode reader functionality. They said this issue is related to the recent iPad OS update (17.4.1) and that this is a known issue. If possible, please let us know when we can expect a fix since this affects our business.
