I cleaned house of my Authorized devices. I want to sync all 3 of my computers and iPhone 14. that's four devices authorized. adding my Windows laptop and it keeps telling me I have 5 devices already authorized. how long does it freakin' take before Apple ID knows my authorized devices???

Authorizations or deauthorizations happen immediately. If you associate a device with one Apple ID then it is 90 days before you can associate that device with a different ID. This is generally only an issue if you have multiple IDs, which is not advised. See the user tip where I suggest Family Sharing may be a workaround. You might also reach out to Apple Support.

fantastic.. I have to wait 90 days to get my laptop Authorized!? that makes fckn sense.
I deauthorized devices from 5 to 3 and Apple ID will not allow me to authorize new one
