Google sheets for iPad toolbar seemed to disappear but I found how to bring it back…

I was struggling with Google Sheets for IPad and couldn’t figure out how or why the toolbar kept disappearing until realizing the toolbar (for formatting content) only appears when editing a cell or block of cells. I need to test this out further but I think that is the solution. So question and solution.
