How do I edit my mail server incoming name when I am imap configured.

My OS is 10.13.6 so it is still compatible with my xerox workcentre 7328 printer. My laptop is the primary device that set up imap

Apple Mail Settings I have an HP printer and it will send me notifications when my supplies are low if I provide information. I have not had luck and finding the required information. A screen shot of the data entry window is included. How do I set up a POP email account I am trying to set up a new email address with a local ISP, and nobody can tell me how to set it up as POP. Whatever I do always comes up IMAP. I have spoken with the tech support at the ISP, and they say their accounts are generic, and that whether it behaves as POP or IMAP depends on how I set it up in Apple Mail. I have spoken with Apple technical support, and they say that the new account setup in Mail takes on the identity of what the ISP set up - and nowhere do I see an option to select POP or IMAP. So I have two technical gurus each pointing at the other, and effectively saying "you do it". So which is correct? Is there any way that the new email account setup in Mail can be coerced into setting up the incoming mail server as POP? Or is there another way out of this dilemma? How should I proceed? Paul. P.S. I'm on the new M1 iMac with Monterey OS.

Setting up Mail Account like to Gmail in IOS I have the alias problem in IOS which I see members have seen solved with IOS 14.1 but I still have a problem. For other reasons I changed my Google password. Whilst it was accepted on my Mac it wasn't on my IOS devices for mail. Google app and Gmail app all worked fine. I therefore made inactive the mail accounts created as "others" and switched on Mail in the "standard" message. Of course you cannot get aliases this way. I then tried to set up the accounts again but all times I get the message "No password provided for "my name". or a similar variation. All emails from our IOS devices now go out from our gmail account name. We can only use aliases from the Mac Until Apple sets up an easier process for aliases similar to that in OSX I am stuck.
