Returning Vision Pro

I purchased a Vision Pro from an Apple Store well within the required 14 days of purchase. However, after spending time at the Apple Store with a technician helping me with the setup, I decided it wasn't for me. I went to return the item; but, the store manager refused to accept the return because I did not have the original box. I am shocked. I have receipt and everything else. Help!!!
