PDFs showing up with Red instead of graphics, when in preview mode on the Apple vision pro

When I open PDFs in the mail app on my Apple Vision Pro the pages with graphics show up as a big red square. It doesn’t happen to the pages with text.

Preview won't open certain images I have a PDF of an old scientific research paper. I've been looking at this paper for years. Now, on Preview, two of the color figures don't show up. There is just a blank spot above the figure legend where the figure is supposed to be. But they still work fine on Adobe acrobat reader. Some new Preview update must have screwed them up. I'd like to ask Apple directly but they make that very hard. I could send them the PDF and let them try it on Preview and on Acrobat.

Preview Markups invisible in Pages Hi, I've been putting arrows and text along with circles into a PDF view preview. However when I copy/paste, import or insert no matter the method, the markups are not visible. Seemingly the only way I've been able to get them to show up is if I export the PDF view preview. The problem is the quality loss is so great the exported PDF is blurry. Any help here would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
