I can't authorize my Windows PC for Apple Music purchases, what can I do?

"verification failed" - this action could not be completed. try again.

Tried everything I could find, including uninstalling zonealarm extreme next gen, no joy. Only have two computers (win 10) and four apple devices authorized.

Make sure your computer's clock and time zone are set correctly. Disable any VPN. Try again. See If iTunes for Windows prompts you to authorize your computer when you try to play purchases - Apple Support and the section Remove the SC Info folder in Windows. See also Authorization vs. association - Apple Community for the distinction between the two. Only computers get authorized.

First - thank you for your suggestions.

Clock is fine, time zone fine, no vpn, per updates, no longer using itunes but the Apple Devices/Apple TV/Apple Music apps through Microsoft from Apple. Itunes had the same issue, would NOT recognize the new Windows 11 machine. No SC Info folder (yes, I've checked through all hidden items/folders).

Yup - that's where I started... iTunes wiped all my 6K songs, etc. when I was trying to plug in new iphone - after that, iTunes would not allow me to log in...

I have two suspects: 1. Hosed registry in my Win 11 2. Issue with my ISP (Starlink) as I have had other issues with certain accesses...

Both will take some time to resolve - #1 will be copying all my necessary files, etc. & then reinstalling Win 11. #2 (easier) fire up my 1.5 mb dsl account & see if that works...
