Very low sound while calling on iPhone

Low volume on incoming calls when only using non-speaker mode. Using a speaker for a call volume is fine. All other audio sound applications appear to work fine. This issue renders to iPhone useless as a phone unless you want to broadcast your calls to those in your proximity.

Volume is up full but very low audio regardless of closeness to the ear. To hear anything you need to be in a quiet environment and the phone close to the ear to hear anything. Switch to speaker mode amd you get blasted away with the caller.
