Vision Pro Mac Virtual Display hang
Using Mac Virtual Display with my M1 Max MacBook Pro, I encountered this issue:
Would not find the MacBook or connect the display. All the criteria in the support document (Use your Mac with Apple Vision Pro - Apple Support) were met. Finally figured the reason—I had NordVPN installed but not active. I was not connected to a VPN, but somehow the Vision decided not to “see” the MacBook. I needed to toggle off Settings>VPN before the Virtual Display would connect.
Probably worth updating the support document to add a check that VPN is turned off in settings.
