My Ipod Classic 80gb prommpts me with the following message; "Unable to Back Up", and will not startup from there. Please advise what I should do.

My old Ipod Classic 80 Gb, purchased in 2008, will not startup. There is a message saying, "Unable To Back Up."

I am unable to do anything further as the device is stuck on this screen.

Please advise what steps I should take further to get it to startup.
