Bose companion 5 not working with Apple studio display

Hello all. I recently purchased an Apple studio display and was looking forward to the single cord connectivity. But I found, like others in this forum, that the bose sound cuts out after some time and after the computer falls asleep when plugged into the back of the studio display directly.


I am running 16inch M2 Max MacBook Pro with all of the latest updates for the laptop and display. One of the other threads suggested a usb b to usb c cable resolved their issues permanently. I purchased the $10 cable from Amazon linked in the thread as well as another from my local office max and have had no such luck as the sound still cuts out.


This was never issue on my 2017 5k iMac. Are there any other fixes out there that anyone can suggest?
