Aperture on MacBook 2008 late edition

Well now my macbook 2008 is totally outdated. No browser works on it.

So I was thinking to use it for photo editing n watching movies on dvd.

I have have moved from maverick to El capitan and I had to format my disk for this. I had used aperture earlier on Maverick.

Any idea if aperture 1/2/3 will work on MacBook 2008 + El capitan OSX.???

IF YES which version should I look for.

I see aperture 2 dvd available in eBay but people say 2 may not work on el capitan.

Please suggest this poor fellow. How to use aperture on my outdated macbook

MacBook, OS X 10.11

There are several kinds of software that seem to belong in the same category but are actually quite different. A Text Editor, for instance, is not an underpowered Word processor, but can look like that. Similarly an app like Aperture seems to be in the same category as Photoshop, but it's not. Aperture is a database driven photo manager and parametric editor that always preserves the original file no matter what. This means that you can always undo what you have done, and the master file is never changed. A digital darkroom, to coin a marketing phrase. Photoshop is a pixel editor that edits the actual file and it's not a photo manager at all. So, you're comparing chalk and cheese.

What is it you want? What is this app for?

As a general rule: if you process your images in Aperture your problems will arise when you finally get a new machine this job: Aperture won't run on the new machine and you'll be migrating to something else. Photoshop - current versions - will run on the new machine, but you will be buying a subscription to the app to be able to use it.

So what's your endgame for when this machine finally pops its clogs?
