Can't Edit WORD documents on my iMAC Pro.

I have a iMAC PRO running Sonoma 14.2.1 and using WORD on this computer. It gives me messages that I cannot edit WORD on APPLE products. It doesn't do this on my MacBook pro running same operating system. My admin at Microsoft thinks its local on the computer. Any suggestions.

Today, Pages won't open SOME Word docs that it used to open yesterday. iMac 1.6 GHz, Late 2015 macOC Monterey 12.5.1 I installed Spectrum Internet a week ago I installed Monterey two days ago. Pages used to open Word docs. As of today 8/25, pages won't open SOME word docs that it used to open before. The Word docs are created on the PC where I work. Then, I work on them at home on my Mac. I wonder if it's a glitch on Word in my office computer. I wonder if it's the size of the file. I wonder if Spectrum or Monterey is contributing (I don't think so) Thanx for previous help.
