network in system preferences says ethernet is connected. I can get into the modem with ethernet. but I can not get onto the Internet with ethernet. I can get onto the Internet through the modems Wi-Fi. I can get onto the Internet with ethernet on other devices. thx, rick.

I just wonder if your iMac Pro can connect to the Internet via WiFi. If you can, try to change Ethernet cable and check Ethernet port of your iMac Pro.
