I have been looking all over the internet for this, i uninstalled shazam, reinstalled. The option to connect to spotify is no longer in the preferences. Tried on my tablet and iphone. On the other hand, my android has no problem. What changed?

Responding to myself. My fix was to permanently delete my shazam account, wait 30 days for total deletion. Then downloaded the app again and low and behold, shazam and apple music connect are back. Hope this helps someone down the line.
Connecting another apple account worked so this is something within the account.

Yup, I guess your theory holds better than mine. Just for posterity: I went into the shazam app and under settings went into about / delete account. They warn you it takes up to 30 days. Uninstalled the app, waited 5 weeks then reinstalled.
Had an old iPad on 15.7, installed brand new spotify then brand new shazam, option not available either. So pretty sure this is a shazam app issue.
That’s good to know - so definitely an account issue that has been introduced. When you say you cancelled the account - do you mean via Shazam.com or was there anything to do on the iPhone itself? I assume the account name matches your Apple ID ? Thanks. Looks like we may be getting to the bottom of it!
Well, would you believe it. Just checked this morning, opened the app and all streaming options are back. I have now successfully reconnected Spotify and Shazam synchs to my playlist. Dare I say looks like Apple may have fixed something in the background? Anyway it works now. Good. Only a small thing in the scheme of things but it was really annoying me!
Yep, same issue for me. Happened with iOS 17.
I have no streaming options at all under settings so I cannot connect or share to Spotify- not even Apple Music.
Ah, did not realise this was an iOS 17 issue. I would welcome a fix from apple on this, pretty annoying. And you are right, no streaming option at all available.
Ah ok, I noticed it on my iPhone 14 immediately after upgrading to iOS 17 - curiously, my iPad is fine (reinstalled Shazam this morning) and that is running iPadOS 17 so not sure what is going on.
