how can I record audio when doing a screen capture

I am trying to do a screen capture of different mic positions for recording (in logic) and I need to output these different recordings with the spectrum analyser display from logic, so, I have tried to use Quicktime, however, quicktime won't take the output from logic, in fact I don't seem to be able to get any audio into the quicktime screen captures at all
