Will a Pro Display XDR work with a Windows based PC?
If not, is there an adapter that would make it work?

My understanding is that the 32" 6K Pro Display XDR does not have its own buttons for adjusting very basic things like brightness and contrast. Everything is controlled from the computer – and Apple doesn't provide the software that PCs running Windows or Linux would need to do this.
This makes the monitor basically Mac-only.
Hi, yes it will work, you will not have the functionality of changing the brightness though unless you connect a Mac to do so, but it will work if you use a bi-directional Displayport to USB-C cable like this one:
Works perfectly with a PC running an AMD 5900x and RTX 4090 :)

I've used mine as a second display with my Windows PC (Gigabyte B650I Aorus Ultra) quite a bit. The issue is usually not with the Pro Display XDR, but with whatever random thing is going on with the PC drivers vs Windows itself at any given time. Sometimes it will work for months without issue, then suddenly not work at all and require various levels of Windows troubleshooting. In my experience the display has not been the thing to blame when the setup isn't working.
No, unfortunately. Macs only.
There is a German youtuber how use it daily with windows "Alexibexi" max ask him. so it should work with adapter. just the cam will not work
