Only the carrier can unlock the phone. Apple is not a carrier.

If the phone is carrier locked to Verizon.....then only Verizon can unlock the phone.

Looks like Verizon is trying to give you the runaround.

Apple is not involved in any way with a carrier lock.

It shows that the phone is paid in full and we aren't under any contract.

Your issue is with Verizon. Only your carrier....Verizon....can unlock the phone. Apple is not a carrier, they cannot unlock the phone.

We have stated this multiple times and highlighted this in red earlier in this post. This fact will not change.

I'm sorry that Verizon is not being truthful with you, but we have no control over what Verizon does.

If it’s locked to Verizon, only Verizon can unlock it.

Verizon’s policy has been to automatically unlock all devices on their network after a minimum period of use is met.

The only exceptions I’m aware of are cases where the customer has reneged on their contractual obligation…

Where did you get the phone? Are you the original owner of the phone?
