Hi Dissociated_Kev,

Thank you for participating in the Apple Support Communities. We understand you're unable to add lyrics in the Apple Music for Artists page. You'll want to make sure you're following these steps: Add your lyrics to Apple Music.

"Before you send in lyrics for your music, review our lyrics guidelines and correctly format your lyrics for submission.

Send your lyrics directly to Apple

  1. Go to Artist Content and select a song. Any songs that don’t have lyrics will display a ( + ) button.
  2. Click Add Lyrics.
  3. In the Song Lyrics field, copy and paste your formatted lyrics. Follow the lyrics formatting requirements in the lyrics guidelines.

Update your lyrics

If your lyrics are not transcribed correctly, you can Report a Concern in the Lyrics section of a song under Artist Content.

  1. Go to Artist Content and select a song.
  2. Under Lyrics, click Request a Change.
  3. Give us a brief description about what lyric needs to be modified.
  4. Provide the corrected lyrics. Follow the lyrics formatting requirements in the lyrics guidelines."

If that's not working, contact Apple Music for Artists support for further assistance.

Take care.

I believe the key instruction you may have missed from Jeff's post above is this one:

If that's not working, contact Apple Music for Artists support for further assistance.

This is a user to user support forum for end users of Apple's products and services. I've not noticed any regular postings from other artists who might be familiar with issues at Apple Music for Artists.

Perhaps this will help some...I was unable to add artwork and/or lyrics to my original songs until I converted them to mp3. I had imported them into iTunes from Reaper as wav files. Once I converted them, it worked fine.

Go to:

Edit: Preferences

Under "General" tab select "Import Settings" and from the "Import Using" menu select "MP3 encoder"

Go back to your music library and pick the song you want to convert. Go to "file", "convert" and "Create MP3 Version" should now be available. Once you convert it you should be able to add the artwork & lyrics.

Hope it helps -
