So my son's icloud email is filled with like 60,000 emails and he can not access or receive any new emails
We would like to keep this email active as it is tied to a bunch of his online accounts
So how can we fully purge his email account of all of these emails so he can start using it again like normal?

You can create folders in on my Mac section , then select and copy and paste mails in those folders ( from respective mail accounts ) , this will somewhat empty the mails from inbox / sent Move or copy emails between mailboxes in Mail on Mac - Apple Support

Is the "Mac Section" an option within icloud? Because I don't have a Mac, so not sure if this option would work for me
There isn't any other way to purge the email address?
"Somewhat" emptying this 60k+ email box isn't really going to be a fix since it will probably still be bogged down
I would just scrape the whole account, but we have somethings like paypal linked to it that we're now locked out of and cant access because we can't get the verification emails because the emails have the account basically locked
On my Mac section is from Mac mail application and is not at www.icloud.com , the mail address once created is permanent and can't be purged .
Which device you are using , if Apple ID is locked reset the Apple ID password If your Apple ID has been locked or disabled - Apple Support
Just using an iphone 14 for mail and a regular computer to access icloud.com
Our apple ID is not locked.
The problem is we are unable to retrieve new emails because the email itself is so full it doesn't function
Silly there isn't a purge or mass delete option. There's 60k piece of garbage mail in it lol
What is considering a small number?
I can't believe they don't have a purge option when it becomes unmanageable with 10's of thousands of emails
If I cant delete thousands at a time, we're just going to have to scrap this email address.
Which sucks and going to be a problem with things like paypal.

Just wanted to check on any possible mass deletion option one more time before we just completely abandon this email account with 50k+ of garbage emails
