Fail to Pay NY Times suddenly.

I pay my NY times by subscribing through Apple. The NY Times gavkMy Apple Pay account with The NY Times does not allow me Update Payment method. When launching screen to update payment it gives the following with no access to update buttons. Only button accessible is the Return to Account, which not adequate.

Apple Pay not working My subscriptions are going unpaid because my debit card keeps failing despite having adequate funds. I’ve communicated with my bank and it’s not a problem on their end. When I open the settings app and go to the payment and shipping tab, my debit card says it failed. I am unable to add a new card because the button is not clickable. When I try to remove the card, it does not work. It wants me to verify the card, but then comes up with an error when I try to verify it. The error says in red text: MZFinance.FamilyNonHoH.CannotAddPayment When I try to link the card, it does Face ID, and then opens a text box that says Unable to Add Card. There was a problem when trying to add this card. Try again.

Payment Today i tried to make payment at apple shop in NYC using apple pay. But system did not allow me to do it. What was the reason and how avoid it in future?

Correct, Apple subscriptions are handled through your Apple device, iPhone, iPad etc. Log into your Apple ID and update your existing payment method. If you need to put in a new payment method, add the payment first, then remove the old/existing payment method.
