need to reset passcode for my iphone
the top part of my phone is not working. Can not power off phone and can not use the numbers 1,2, or 3 so i can not unlock my phone. how can i reset my password

The instructions below will erase your phone and allow you to create a new passcode, but you will lose all content on the phone. There is no way to just reset the passcode if you can’t enter the current passcode.
If you take the phone to Apple they can replace the screen, possibly without erasing the phone.
To erase the phone and reset the passcode:
If your device has iOS 15.2 or later installed, you can reset it without a computer; check out this link→How to reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch when you forgot your passcode - Apple Support. Otherwise you will need a computer:

After restoring the phone using one of the methods above you can restore your most recent backup.

You need to get the screen fixed. Make an appointment at the Genius Bar to have it repaired. Trying to reset the password with a broken screen is not a good idea.
