Incorrect address while using Apple Pay?

When I am shopping online and I click Apple Pay, and add my shipping address, I get a message that says "Your address is incorrect, pease correct or use another address. Problem is my address is correct.

Does it match your address for your Apple ID?


Change Payment & Shipping settings for your Apple ID on Mac - Apple Support


Add or remove a stored credit card

  1. In the Safari app  on your Mac, choose Safari > Settings, then click AutoFill.
  2. Select “Credit cards,” click Edit, then follow the onscreen instructions.


Remove any cards that are outdated.


The last option if the above doesn’t correct the issue is the website itself. Some websites are configured improperly for Apple Pay and apply account information the merchant has stored. You’ll need to look for an edit button/link to edit saved customer information.

It’s on my Mac. I believe the difference is in the shipping address: In my wallet, the address had only city and state. The Vendor window for drop-down addresses required a country. Because the two addresses didn’t match, I kept getting an error message. When I tried to add United States to my wallet, I got a message saying I was changing my address and that it would be changed wherever located in my other files.

My AmEx card, active on ApplePay, has a US billing address. I live in the US. I want online merchandise shipped to my US residential address.


However, at least two US online merchants refused ApplePay, saying that my billing address could not be "international."


It's not. It's the same as my residential address right here in the US.


My VPN is inactive.


Worried that some hacker outside US has a "grip" on my AmEx card. Thoughts very much appreciated!!
