Siri's voice sounds Robotic on MacBook

The voice on my MacBook sounds very robotic instead of "her" usual voice on my other apple products. I checked the settings for Siri and I have selected one of the American female voices, nevertheless the problem continues.

Visit Applications -> Utilities -> Audio Midi Setup.

Make sure your audio out is set for 44.1 kHz 16 bit. Unless you are using 3+ channel sound, the frequency should not be set for higher.
