I paired my AirTag and it is not showing up in Find Devices

My air tag pairs and when I look for it, it's not there in Find My Devices. It's new and I have replaced the battery.

An Apple AirTag is not a "device." Instead, Apple defines them as an "Item." After properly associated with your Apple ID, it would be found on the Items tab of the Find My app on an iPhone.

Curious, you state that it is new, but you have already replaced its battery. Did it not come with a battery already instead, and all you needed to do was remove the small tab to "activate" it?
