Macbook Air running very slow and with very high fan speeds

So, I replaced the screen on an early 2020 MacBook Air, and ever since, the fan has been running at very high speeds and the computer has been running extremely slow. It takes minutes to boot up and even longer yet to sign into the profile. Before the screen was replaced, everything was working fine(except for a crack in the screen), but ever since it has been replaced, I've been having these issues. I've replaced dozens of screens in this exact model of MacBook and never had this issue, so I have no clue what could be going on. Any ideas?
