HEIC photos won’t download from messages

Try turning off your wifi.. I’ve found that when it happens to me, I’m connected with some unfamiliar network that doesn’t like you passing pictures of cats and dogs around all willy-nilly.

Tap on the image thrice (not in quick succession) quickly but steadily.

This (tapping 3xs) is not working for me. It only lets me reply to original comment, or react (thumbs up, !, ha ha). I can’t open these picture attachments in this message/conversation. Camera is also set to high efficiency.

Does anyone have other options to view these pictures?
