How do I go back to iOS 16? I bought a new phone and they had to do the transfer from the iOS 17 beta but I want to go back to 16

You can go back to iOS 16, but if you don't have a backup that was made using iOS 16, you will have nothing to restore to the phone that is now running iOS 16. Unfortunately, too many users are finding out about this detail the hard way.
