How do I establish two different Desktops on different computers in the home? I have an iMac 27" (intel) and a MacBook Pro laptop (Apple M1). Each is used for a different function and I want separate Desktops.

The two computers when started will have their own desktops. That's normal operation. There's not really anything to establish at all. Just start them and you have it.

But it sounds like you want something a bit different. What leads you to believe they don't come natively with separate desktops?
