apple watch not working properly after pool?

I entered the pool with my Apple Watch 6 and I let it dry when I got out. Afterwards, the watch simply doesn’t stay on after being dried, whenever I turn it on it just turns off on its own after few minutes. Is there a reason and what should I do?

Thank you
