Why can't I sign into AppleTV on my smart TCL TV

That could happen if you are not signed in to the Apple TV app with the Apple ID account that has the subscription linked to it.

In the Apple TV app on your TV, find the in-app Settings (sprockets wheel icon), open that, go to Accounts, and sign in there.

dclokc, please try this:

1. Remove the Apple TV app,

2. Shut off and unplug the TV (or streaming device),

3. Wait 30 seconds,

4. Plug the TV (or streaming device) back in,

5. Reload the Apple TV app.

What happens when you try? Do you get an error message? What does it say exactly?

I have the TCL Roku TV (brand new) and I can’t get signed into my Apple TV account on there. I’ve tried both the QR code and typing my username and passcode. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
