Combining two numbers and data

I want to add another nano SIM card to my iPhone 11. Will porting my “home phone” number, also a cell phone number, carry all data and contacts to this phone? Does the ported number have to be the secondary line? I would prefer to keep that ported number and gradually make it the primary line for my contacts and applications.

Should I install the preferred nano SIM card in front and switch the existing card to the back of the dual SIM card holder? Does my cell phone provider need to support dual cellular numbers just treat them as two lines?

It will not. Apple does not use SIM or eSIM to store (or fetch) any data other than that used by the cellular carrier.
