Duplicate Photos Iphone at Windows

When I open at my desktop PC / Apple iPhone / Internal Storage / DCIM / date I get duplicate .jpg files

I get:

IMG_7770.JPG and IMG_E7770.JPG.

These files are often 2mb each sometimes 3mb. This adds up over time.

I also get .AAE files that I can't delete. These are 1kb, so I'm not concerned about file size there.

How do I prevent my iPhone from creating these duplicates?

It doesn't seem it's duplicated at Iphone, but when I want to transfert to my PC

Windows, Windows 6

Hi fábio0106,

We see you're having an issue with photos duplicating upon downloading them to your PC. We can certainly understand the need for it to just download each photo once. We'd be happy to help.

Are you downloading these photos from the iCloud website? Or are you using the iCloud Photos feature within the iCloud for Windows app? For details on the steps for the latter option, check out this page: Set up and use iCloud Photos on your Windows PC

1. Open File Explorer.
2. Click iCloud Photos in the Navigation pane. If you don’t see iCloud Photos, click Pictures in the Navigation pane, then double-click iCloud Photos.
3. Click the Notification area in the taskbar, then click Download Photos in the iCloud Photos notification. Choose the photos and videos you want to download by year.

There are some additional helpful tips, which may help to explain what you're encountering, on this page: If your iCloud Photos aren't loading on your PC

While the title of the page may not directly apply, scroll down to the "Why am I seeing duplicate photos?" section. This will help to note that in iCloud for Windows, you see both a video and a key still image for each Live Photo downloaded from iCloud Photos.

Please let us know the outcome after giving the above steps a try.
