MacBook Air battery randomly discharges

MacBook Air battery randomly will discharge to 80% while the MacBook is asleep. When I manually select "charge battery to maximum" it will do so. Occasionally, but not always, screen time usage shows as on, even though computer is supposedly asleep.

MacBook Air, 13.4

The apparent answer is that this is a new MacBook and "Optimized Battery Charging" must have been "On" as a default. The first time the battery discharged to 80% I selected charge to full in the menu bar which left Optimized Battery Charging on and it stayed on until turned off in System Settings. Problem solved, I hope.
