Keep new card co-owner from past transactions

Can you add a co-owner to your Apple Card account but NOT let them see transactions prior to being added? I have taken a big step in a personal relationship but I do not want the other party to see my past spending.

Prior charges on an individual account are not shown in co-owners transactions or statements.

However, moving forward, a co-owned account shows all transactions on the account. Transactions cannot be deleted or hidden from either co-owner. Co-owners have equal rights and access to all activities on the account.

Personal experience and financial experience. I opened an individual account in 2019 and my spouse as a co-owner in 2021. No information prior to joining is shown in her account on her iPhone.

The key to understanding is that the individual account is gone (closed) when the co-owned account is opened. The new co-owner has no right to see the other, now closed, individual account. But has every right to see all activity on new joint account.
