For Financial Assistance, Contact Apple Store Support. You need to contact Apple Support Directly. This is a User-to-User forum. We are all volunteers. So, as you may suspect, no one here has access to that information — and that is a good thing, BTW. That’s why for Financial Assistance, you need to contact Apple Support. They’ll see what’s going on and will run you through the fix.

Apple Contact Info:

  • Contact Us - Choose Locations
  • Proceed from there, as necessary
  • Why the Wait: Phone calls are taking a bit to go through at the moment, due to lots of calls. With the Coronavirus Pandemic, many are at home at the moment, with much time on their hands to contact Apple. So, just stay on the line, and you will get through :)

The charge of $2.99 you’re seeing could be from a variety of different things, not just subscriptions. Here are a few possibilities:

1. App Store Purchases: Even if they’re not recurring subscriptions, one-time app purchases or in-app purchases can also cause charges.

2. iTunes Purchases: Buying music, movies, or TV shows from iTunes can result in charges.

3. iCloud Storage: If you’ve upgraded your iCloud storage, you could be seeing a monthly charge.

4. Apple Books or Apple News: Purchases from these services can also show up as charges.

To view and manage your purchases, follow these steps:

1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.

2. Tap on your name at the top.

3. Tap ‘Media & Purchases.’

4. Tap ‘View Account.’

5. Sign in with your Apple ID if prompted and the tap ‘Purchase History’.

Here, you’ll be able to view your purchase history and see what the $2.99 charge was for. If you still can’t identify the charge, I recommend contacting Apple Support for assistance.
