I have two Apple TVs. When downloading an app, one of them offers to let me Sign in with an Apple device. The other requires me to entire my Apple ID password. Both are running tvOS 16.5. The one that doesn't offer Sign in with an Apple device is older, model A1625. Does this model not offer Sign in with an Apple device, or is there just a setting that I'm missing?

‘Sign in with an Apple device’ should be available on Apple TV boxes with tvOS 15 or later.
This feature does require that both devices have the same active Apple ID account. It wouldn’t work for non-matching accounts.

Thanks. I got on chat with support and they said if one has 2 Factor Authentication activated on one's Apple ID, Apple TV model A1625 will require you to sign in with the Apple ID password. If 2FA has been active more than 14 days, you will not have the option to turn this feature off.
As I don’t have a A1625 model to test with, then at this time I would suggest to contact an expert from the Apple Support staff for further assistance. Contact Apple for support and service (phone numbers) or start your support request online (chat/email/callback). Good luck!
Both devices do have the same active Apple ID account. So why isn't it presenting the option to me? I can't find anything in the settings.
