Cache files exist to increase performance, so that previously downloaded page elements don't have to be dowloaded every time unless they have been changed. The fact it's taking a lot of memory means it's working.

" Safari Web Content (cached) " is using way too much of ram just for single website. I have been noticing that "Safari Web Content (Cached)" has been using a lot of memory even though I have only opened just one site (only one tab for it) , just one page on safari but it is using a lot of memory as you can see in the screenshot. I want to know is there something I am doing wrong ? or there is something wrong with the Safari. There are about 5 "Safari Web Content (Cached)" running in the background just for one site and is taking way too much memory, this issue happens to every site I open. I always open just on site(at a time) to prevent over usage of ram. Please help , it is using way too much of ram just for one single site.

Safari ETag Caching Limit – Files above around 120MB Not Cached I’m encountering an issue with Safari’s caching behavior when using ETags. It appears that Safari only caches files up to approximately 120MB and discards anything larger. Other browsers don’t seem to have this limitation. Is this a known limitation of Safari? Are there any workarounds to allow larger files to be cached? Would adjusting cache-control headers help, or is this strictly an internal Safari behavior? I also tried increasing the cache size in Safari, but it didn’t seem to make a difference. Has anyone successfully bypassed this restriction? Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
