I have checked ALL settings, Notifications, WhatsApp notifications, ‘do not disturb and focus. Restarted the phone, reset WhatsApp settings, hard reset the phone. Nothing allows any what’s app notifications unless I get a call on what’s app. Then they all
come through at once. Please sort it out!

Just so you are aware, you are not talking directly to Apple employees here. We are just fellow Apple-product users. None of us can "sort it out." ... and as @razmee209 has indicated, this is not an Apple app and you will need to contact WhatsApp support for further assistance with this matter.
