I am running Ventura 13.31 on a Mac Mini. I cannot delete a list (formerly gorup) from the Contacts app. I followed online directions: select name of list in Sidebar and click on Delete key. This doesn't work. Anyone have a workaround? I also can't add a contact to a list that has already been created. Searched but directions don't work.

Cut worked for me. Delete key did not and Delete List was grayed out. Using Sonoma 14.4.
Because I was nervous about this: I can confirm that deleting a list does not delete any contacts, they are all still in All Contacts. Yay for that.

DELETE LIST in the EDIT menu is grayed out so this doesn't work for me. Thanks fro the suggestion.
I also was able to use the CUT command to remove a selected list.
I had the same problem. This is a bug which I expect will be corrected.
A work-around is to go to the EDIT menu in Contacts and select DELETE LIST to remove the List.
This worked. Thanks
