iOS 12.5.7 is as far as the iPhone 6 can go. Why? The iPhone 6 lacks the horsepower needed to run newer versions of iOS.

If you want to run iOS 16, you will need an iPhone 8 or higher. If your carrier offers the new much faster 5G service, you will need an iPhone 12 or higher.
