Hi community
It's been a couple of days since I'm receiving a virus alert on my iMac.
I know it's scam. I used cleanmymac x but it doesn't help. Anyone has my same problem and know how to solve it?

NEVER EVER install any third party:
• Antivirus
• Cleaning (including CMM which is considered malware!!!)
• Security or
• Any other types of third party "maintenance" apps.
At best these types of apps are 100% worthless and at worst they make Mac OS appear buggy, slow and can cause some very odd behaviors.
Please uninstall CMM per the developers instructions.
Please check Safari Settings and select the Website section, then scroll down to Notifications, as shown in the screenshot below. Delete all you haven't knowingly added, or all of them.
I agree and it's frustrating. I always thought Apple was safe. I think I'll start using an antivirus.

Thanks for your reply, I deleted CMM but I keep receiving pop ups this time my icloud has been hacked!

This seems to be a new, annoying tactic by scammers, as it has appeared here quite frequently of late.
An Anti Virus would do absolutely nothing for such instances. It is in no way a virus, instead it is merely a website that has been granted permission to send notifications.
You are right! I'll just have to think twice and be aware of this mala fide practices.
