Terminal icon in my dock
Why did I find the Terminal icon in my dock after I downloaded an app from the App Store? I'm using Ventura 13.2.1.

The Tech that helped earlier may have placed it on your Dock for their convenience and forgot to remove it afterward. The act of downloading anything from the Mac App Store does not launch the Terminal or place it on your Dock.

I googled it and was able to remove the Terminal from the dock but I was wondering why it showed up there after downloading an Adblock app from the apple App Store. I have never had this happen before.
Have you opened the Terminal recently?
I had a session with a computer tech to transfer my data from my older Mac air to the new one. I'm not sure if it was opened or not?
Well, if there is a small dot under it is open and running. If not, try disabling System Settings > Desktop & Dock > "Show recent applications in the Dock".
If you don't want it there, you can drag it onto the desktop where it then indicate "Remove" and then would be removed from the Dock.
Thank you all! It worried me and I'm no longer worried about it.
