At one time an old roommate and I shared a computer and some of his music is still somewhere in a folder. His apple ID will pop up and ask me for his password once in a while on my phone. Is there a way to find the song/songs causing the issue? I have over 8k songs so its been difficult located them so that I can remove them.

No, you cannot isolate tracks purchased by different accounts within the library. You'll just have to take notes and then remove any problem tracks when you can.
