How can Update the software using mobile data?

If you have an iPhone 12 or newer and access to 5G, you can update your iPhone with Mobile Data.


To be able to download iOS updates via 5G, go to:

Settings Cellular Cellular Data OptionsData Mode → select Allow More Data on 5G


You can download and install software updates here:

Settings General Software Update


If you have an older iPhone or you don't have 5G in your data plan, you need to connect your iPhone to Wi-Fi to download iOS updates. Alternatively, you must update from a computer. See link at the bottom of this answer.
